As the interim AVP of Marketing Communications, I lead a team of over 30 marketing professionals whose role is to bring the Ithaca College brand to life for external and internal constituents. I provide strategic oversight for institutional branding, media relations, institutional advancement, and recruitment marketing efforts, as well as many other marketing and communications initiatives supported by our office. I also serve as the primary content strategist for all admission websites, and direct the content and social media strategies related to myIthaca and our private social network, IC Peers.
At my core I am a storyteller, and I am a firm believer in the power of personal stories to engage, motivate, and inspire action. I am particularly passionate about my role as editorial director of IC Fuse magazine, and as primary content strategist for Ithaca College's Ready campaign.
My public speaking credits include presenting for HigherEdExperts, CASE, and AMA Higher Ed Symposium, on such topics as print vs. digital magazines; harnessing the authentic voice of current students; and the power of private social networks. I look forward to presenting on other topics in the future.
