Christine Gregory is the Assistant Director of Music Admissions and Preparatory Programs. Her primary responsibilities in the School of Music include coordinating and attending recruitment events, facilitating the music admissions process, and managing many of the administrative tasks associated with the Summer Music Academy.
Christine attended Ithaca College as a Music Education and Trumpet Performance major, and received a Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca in 2007. She then returned to her native Long Island, and earned a Master’s degree in Trumpet Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music at CUNY Queens College. While pursuing her graduate degree, she maintained a private trumpet studio and worked as a substitute teacher. In 2010 and 2011, Christine traveled throughout the United States, performing as a trumpet player for National Tours of the musicals, “Cabaret” and “The Music Man.”
In 2011, Christine returned to Ithaca College to work as the Assistant to the Director of Music Admissions. In the fall of 2012, she began her current position as the Assistant Director of Music Admissions and Preparatory Programs. She is proud to be a part of the Ithaca College School of Music community, and to speak from personal experience about all that Ithaca has to offer.
