As an Administrative Assistant in Residential Life, I primarily support the Assistant Director for Residential Education, Dr. Jacqueline Winslow, who provides leadership and direction for the First-Year Residential Experience (FYRE) program and the Residential Learning Communities (RLC). Together, we help support the coordination of all department programming in the residence halls and apartments on campus with a focus on student learning.
I also provide support for the PAC-D (President's Advisory Committee on Diversity) group assisting Dr. Roger Richardson and Michelle Rios-Dominguez in that capacity. I am currently a member of the SACL Staff Development Committee and co-facilitator for the Working Parents Affinity Group (WPAG). I am also a member of the Mental Health Response Team (MHRT) through the Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
A fun fact: I thoroughly enjoy my interaction with our students, faculty, and staff alike and offer an open invitation for all to call, email, or just drop by my office to visit! Any time I can assist, I'm happy to! I'm an ear, a shoulder, a friend, and a believer in the healing power of a hug! :) I love my work and my peers! It doesn't get much better than that!!
