Kris Monroe is the Information Security Officer (ISO) at Ithaca College and has been with the college since 2007, starting first as a consultant. He has over 15 years of experience in the field of information technology with more than five of those years in information security. He has held positions of responsibility in system administration, networking, and security over the course of his career.

Kris is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and is a member of InfraGard, a founding member of the Southern Tier New York chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), a member of the Central New York chapter of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and member of the Higher Education Information Security Council (HEISC) Awareness and Training Working Group.

As ISO Kris works closely with network services staff, systems administrators, and others to ensure the security of our systems.
