As the associate vice president for marketing communications, I am responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive integrated marketing program that supports the college’s strategic goals. Between 2010 and 2012, along with my team and partners, I lead efforts to complete market research, develop and launch a new brand identity, institute integrated marketing efforts, develop the college’s first institutional strategic marketing plan, create a licensing and trademark enforcement program, launch a brand awareness advertising campaign, and reorganize the Office of Marketing Communications to better support all of these initiatives.
The Office of Marketing Communications includes advancement communications, communication, creative services, client and enrollment marketing and digital strategy teams. Areas included within these groups include media relations, crisis communication, the alumni magazine, the undergraduate prospective student magazine, the college’s official social media channels, athletics communication, advertising, and more.
Previously I worked at the State University of New York at New Paltz for 14 years, most recently as their Director of Web Communication and Strategic Projects, and the Welcome Center. I have undergraduate degrees in marketing and organizational communication, and an MBA in marketing and management. I am a regular invited speaker at conferences across the country.
