Selected Projects

I believe that art can be a driver of social change. One of the best vehicles out there gathering evidence of this is the Community Arts Network website. I have had the great honor and pleasure of being engaged in several community based projects over the years. Recent activities include:

  • Founding Member of the Ithaca Theatre Collective a five-member organization dedicated to communication and strategic collaboration and in receipt of a 2007 grant from the Tompkins County Strategic Tourism and Planning Board to extend the marketing reach of Ithaca’s live theatrical venues.
  • Member of Tier 1, the five-member Board of performing arts organizations that provides leadership and oversight to Ticket Center Ithaca, a shared ticketing service.
  • Member of the College Advisory Committee of the Linden Center for Creativity and Aging through the Gerontology Institute of Ithaca College.
  • Participated in Ithaca College’s "LeaderShip" program, a year long, comprehensive program comprised of fourteen learning workshops that address critical skills that lead to reflective self-assessment and build leadership capacities.
  • Conceived of, secured funding and arranged logistics for “Lifelines” Intergenerational Dance. Designed, implemented and reported on the evaluation of this residency, sponsored by the Linden Center and involving guest choreographer/organizer Martha Bowers, senior citizens, and IC students as participants.
