As the Director of Residential Life and Judicial Affairs, I am ultimately responsible for the staff, programs, housing and facilities components of our Residential Life Program. I also oversee the staff, programs and processes in our Judicial Affairs Office. As the Assistant Dean for the First-Year Experience I work with the Dean of the First-Year Experience to offer a well coordinated set of programs and activities designed to help students make a successful transition to Ithaca College. My responsibilities in these roles include directly supervising the Associate Director for Residential Life, three Assistant Directors ( for housing, operations and judicial) and the Administrative Assistant for the First-Year Experience. I spend much of my time dealing with budget, representing Residential Life/ Judicial Affairs and the First-Year Experience at meetings, and doing long range planning for our programs and facilities.
As part of my responsibilities I serve as a member of several departmental, divisional or institutional committees. Currently some of the committees that I am serving on include:
- IC 20/20 Advisory Committee
- Enterprise Risk Management Committee
- Residential Models Task Force
- First-Year Experience Coordinating Committee
- First-Year Experience Assessment Committee
I have worked in Residential Life at Ithaca College for over twenty years. I have had the unique opportunity to serve within most positions in the deparment. My goal is to continue to identify ways to improve the programs, facilities and services that we offer our students.
