After serving as OSE's Administrative Assistant for over 7 years, I became the Student Organizations Business Coordinator in October of 2022. As the Student Organizations Business Coordinator, my job is to support all OSE recognized student organizations with their finances and assist in their travel needs. In this role, I am also the advisor to the Appropriations Committee within the Student Governance Council.

I am a member of the JED Campus Taskforce which is a group of individuals from all across campus that work together to create a campus community that fosters emotional wellness and works towards suicide prevention. As a member of JED I helped create our Stop and Breathe week. Stop and Breathe Week happens each semester and helps highlight different opportunities across campus, week before finals, that allow students a moment to take a break and focus on themselves. During Stop and Breathe week, I personally created the concept of opening a temporary sensory space in Campus Center. A sensory space offers a place for students with neurodivergences to escape the overstimulating environment of campus and doing so has allowed other offices to get support to open permanent spaces across campus. My goal is for them to be available all across campus in as many buildings as possible.

I am the mom to three wonderful kids and I grew up right here in Tompkins County, in Newfield, and the Ithaca area has always been my home. I graduated, in 2008, from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science. My internship was at the Jacobus Center for Reproductive Health, where I was a sexual health educator for local schools and a mentor for the ZAP program, which was a peer educator group, focused on reducing teen pregnancy. While my husband served in the United States Marine Corps, I was fortunate to hold a job as a Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist in North Carolina. My experiences in these roles made me realize my love of working with students, no matter the context.

I have been at Ithaca College since 2015 and I love working at Ithaca College. I really enjoy working with all of the students that I get to interact with each year. It really is a special place!
