Nicole Koschmann received her Masters in Fine Arts degree in Film from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University, and her Bachelors of Arts degree in Women Studies from Friends World College. She taught as a faculty member in the School of Media Arts at the University of Arizona, and in the Department of Media Studies at New School University, and most recently worked as the Education Outreach Coordinator at the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies at Cornell University. She has taught all levels of media production as well as film theory and history courses. She is an award-winning filmmaker who has screened films in festivals and art galleries worldwide. Her current interests include contemporary issues in cinema and photography, as well as how meaningful engagement and service learning opportunities can integrate into higher education experiences.
