Ellen came to Ithaca College in 1990 as Studio Technician providing tech support for ICTV and production classes. She was promoted to Multi Media Facilities Manager in 1996, where she offered tech support for computer labs. Ellen took over as Manager of Portable Equipment and Facilities in 2001 where she maintains and tracks the inventory of portable equipment. She works with the faculty to set authorizations that allow students access to the equipment and facilities they need to complete projects and course work. Ellen is the administrator of the scheduling software and is responsible for scheduling classrooms and spaces for the classes that meet in the Roy H. Park School of Communications. Ellen began her professional career in 1973 as a type setter for an Offset and Screen Printing company in Virginia. In 1977, she moved North where she became a news Videographer for ABC affiliate WENY. She was promoted to Production Manager in 1980 where she produced commercials and public service shows. Ellen has produced local segments for numerous national Telethons for Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, and Easter Seals. She also produced a local telethon for Arctic League, a local organization that raised money to buy Christmas gifts for under-privileged children in the viewing area, during her 10 years as Production Manager.
She is married with one step daughter and 2 granddaughters. Her hobby is photography, and her passion is her granddaughters.
